The Bucks
Introducing Forrest and Sir Barton
Forrest is POLLED with handsome structure, AND a sweet boy as well. His dark red coloring is gorgeous. This is year three of stud duty here for him. For his first two years of kidding, he produced 60% polled kids. (ADGA PN2265429) All his genetic testing was completed last spring, so he's ready to go to your farm. My third set of kids from him is due end of January 2025, so time for him to find a new harem as I have too many related to him now. He's gentle with his ladies, great with my grandkids, gets along fine with other bucks and wethers after the first day. He's really amazing. Up to date on all shots, worming, etc. Cotati Large Animal blood tested June and August 2024. Photos of him and some of his kids from the past two years.
His dam just scored VEEE90, and sire scored VEE90!

He’s turning one in March, and has had three ladies to breed this year, all pregnant.

Breeding Services:
Selected bucks are available for driveway breeding services. We do not lease our bucks out and bucks remain on our property - does must be brought for match-making.
Please contact us one to two weeks in advance to schedule a time to bring your doe. It is your responsibility to make sure she is actually in heat before you show up here!
Please DO NOT show up without an appointment.
A breeding agreement must be read and signed prior to breeding to document the needs & expectations regarding breeding. An ADGA Service Memo will be provided for successful kidding; please provide doe's registration information or paperwork for breeding service memo after pregnancy is confirmed.
Stud service fee is available with the following bucks:
Forrest - $100
Sir Barton - $100
Does brought for breeding must have a recent (45 days or less) negative CAE, CL & Johnes test. Please send proof of test via email prior to bringing your doe for servicing. Please understand this testing is for your doe's protection as well as our buck and herd's protection. Many breeders decline outside buck service for bio-security reasons but we will continue to offer this service to those that don't compromise the health care for their animals as well as the breeder's animals.
The breeding fee will cover up to two separate visits for breeding, if your doe does not settle the first time. If necessary, the 2nd follow up visit may be planned within 90 days of the 1st breeding. Should the original buck become incapable for service during the breeding period, the doe owner may elect to breed to an available alternate buck. Fee is non-refundable once you've been on my farm; it's up to you to reschedule with me if needed.
We recommend having your doe pregnancy tested via blood sample or ultrasound between 35-45 days after breeding to verify your doe's pregnancy as it can be difficult to tell by observing your bred doe.
No refunds for breeding services - even if the original buck is not available for rebreeding or your doe does not conceive.
After two (2) breeding visits, a new stud fee will be applied. (I have proven bucks-.)
Does should be in excellent health to ensure they will settle (become pregnant) and should have a good mineral balance in their systems, with copper and selenium important minerals for fertility. Your doe should have a free choice loose goat mineral available to consume at all times. Depending on your doe, you may need to supplement with a copper bolus and/or BO-SE (selenium/vitamin E shot or paste).
In adult goats, if their coat is very long and bushy or faded in color or if the goat's tail tip is bald or looks like a fish tale, this may be a sign of copper mineral deficiency. Besides the bad hair, copper is extremely important for parasite resistance in goats. Copper deficient goats are less able to fight off parasite infestation and more prone to ailments caused by parasites. We recommend discussing your doe's health and any treatment with your veterinarian, prior to administering.
We have the right to refuse breeding after we observe and/or inspect your doe. If she has any nasal discharge, eye discharge, is too thin, I will ask that you return when she is in proper condition. However the clear blook test within 45 days stands at all times.
Thanks for considering my bucks! Let me know if you'd like to go ahead. Venmo/cash for services is due the day of breeding.
